Spoil Mum this Mother’s Day at the

The Royal Hospital for Women Foundation, Randwick, is inviting families to make Mother’s Day fabulous at the free annual Mother’s Day Royal Picnic, being held on 8 May 2011.

Now in its fifth year, the Mother’s Day Royal Picnic brings families together to celebrate how special mum is, at a fun community event that helps raise much needed funds for The Royal Hospital for Women Foundation.

The picnic is expected to attract more than 15,000 people with well-known mum, media personality and Elle McFeast star Libbi Gorr hosting the day; with wonderful entertainment, fabulous food and exciting activities for the whole family.

JAY_LAGAAIA_plays_Elijah_7921_resizeFeatures of the picnic include a Royal Pamper Lounge for Mum, which will provide manicures, massages and facial treatments, a Body and Soul Lounge offering clairvoyants, health advice and many more indulgences.

There will be great rides for the kids; four hours of live stage entertainment for all ages, including popular children’s favourite and special guest Jay Laga’aia, a live Shrek stage show, a special visit from Spot the dog, face painting and an animal farm that the whole family will love.

The Mother’s Day Royal Picnic is the perfect place for the family to celebrate together, and ensure Mum relaxes on her special day.

All funds raised on the day will go towards purchasing vital medical equipment for the Royal Hospital for Women. Each year, the Royal Hospital for Women cares for more than 10,000 women in our community, with 4,000 babies born at the hospital and more than 1000 premature and critically ill babies cared for in the Newborn Care Centre.
