Buttermilk Scones

  • 2 Cups Self Raising Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • Pinch Salt
  • 45gr Melted Butter
  • 1tbls CSR Organic Sugar
  • 3/4 Cup Buttermilk
  • 20mls Vanilla


  1. Heat oven to 220C
  2. Mix all dry ingredients; make a well and add all other ingredients.
  3. Combine until soft dough is formed. Add a little more flour if necessary and knead until a smooth consistency is achieved.
  4. Gently roll out the dough with a rolling pin to the desired thickness and use a scone cutter or cut freeform squares to save time.
  5. Put on baking tray and brush with a little milk.
  6. Bake in oven for approx 15 minutes.
