Golden Oats Slice

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup SR Flour
  • 3/4 cup coconut
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 120 grams butter or margarine (6 x 20 gram tablespoons)
  • 3 tablespoons boiling water
  • 1 tablespoon syrup

Method:

  1. Pre-heat oven to 180C
  2. Place flour, coconut and sugar in a bowl
  3. Rub in butter with finger tips until like fine breadcrumbs
  4. Add rolled oats. Mix well.
  5. Make a well in the centre, add syrup and boiling water
  6. Place in lightly greased slice tray
  7. Cook for 15 minutes until golden brown
